gone through your gallery and looked at extremely old drawings? Then laugh at how horrible you were at anatomy, and hair, and shading? And then feel bad for basically calling yourself a terrible artist (however many years ago)? Has THAT happened to you? Lol.
'Cause it happened to me today. And I realized it. And I realized I do it periodically throughout the year. As if to remind myself, "Oh I'm not TERRIBLE at art, I could be THAT bad...still."
But then I go off to search through dA just to look at nice arts (which is another rant....soon to be posted) and then I come back to my gallery and see....I see how terrible I really am. How much of a horrible artist I am. And bad my coloring and shading is. Then I go look at crappy art on dA. I know it sounds mean, but you know as well as I that there is really, really terrible art on deviant art. Not terrible as the artist may see it, but personally "bad" to me.
I don't mean to offend anyone here. If you want my opinion of terrible, go to my gallery and click on the "old" category. In fact, you don't even need to do that. Lol. Just go to my gallery. That's terrible for 'ya. But what I'm saying is, I look at growing artists' "bad" pieces just to make me feel better. Does that make me a bad person? Isn't that the definition of bully? Taking pride in someone else's failure. Or something along those lines.
So I've decided to ask you, the reader of this insignificant journal, 1) Do you ever look at your old, for lack of a better term, CRAP and laugh? Or do you feel bad? Or both? and 2) Do you think its right to look at someone's art and say "oh I'm better than them" and make yourself FEEL better?
Anyway. That really finishes up my rant. ^^

I decided I'd make my journal like a blog. Except cooler. Since I'm a loser and have a whole bunch of free time on my hands... In plus, I love ranting about stupid things. ^^ It's a, as I called being a cyberchondriac,"fun waste of time." xD
